Ting Yu drew inspirations mostly from her family, lecturers and famous artists. One of whom, Walt Disney, which he mentions, "If you can dream it, you can do it."

For art, Ting Yu likes to create surreal characters that majority does not venture in.

This includes fictional characters inspired by various forms of media.
In all, Ting Yu would like to create artworks that could inspire others in life.
